• Start at home by always bringing re-usable bags to the store , just do not take plastic bags. • Tap water is regulated, superior and does not have a carbon footprint like bottled water. Plastic water bottles contain harmful chemicals that off-gas and plastic bottles are one of the main pollutants in the marine environment. Always use your re-usable bottle to bring along. • Pre-cycle and don't buy plastic boxes or take out, try to avoid plastic packaging when possible • Support your county wide plastic bag ban and ask your retailers to stop giving out plastic bags. • Come to Project Green Runwayʼs Trashion Show on June 16, 2012 at Marin Sanitary at 4:00 and have some fun . • Support the Ocean Conservancy ,the California Coastal Commission and Turtle Island Restoration. • Attend the annual Coastal Clean-up Day and be part of the solution • Re-cycle plastics when possible . • Ask your grocery store to stop using poly-styrene or Styrofoam to package meats and poultry. • Call manufacturers and ask them to take back their packaging or design more bio-degradable or recyclable packaging.
